5 Amazing Twitter Accounts and the Reasons We Love Them

Are you struggling to put together a solid Twitter strategy for your small business? If so, that’s totally understandable. There are so many people and brands on Twitter, it sometimes seems impossible to cut through the noise and make an impression on your audience. One thing that may help you is to look to the example of companies that are doing really well on Twitter – what are they doing, and how can you replicate their success?

Don’t know how to get started? Well, here are five great Twitter accounts to get you going.

The Creme Brulee Cart

This is literally a mobile business, so it makes sense that they’d use social media to promote. The owner of the cart realized that his customers were tweeting about their creme brulees, and he decided to make good use of that by creating and keeping up a Twitter account. The Creme Brulee Cart Twitter shares pictures of customers with their food, retweets good reviews, and keeps people updated on the cart’s whereabouts. Even though it’s a very small business, their social media savvy has made them a popular destination in San Francisco. Sweet!

Any.Do

Any.Do is an app that helps you create and organize to-do items. Doesn’t sound like much fun, does it? However, Any.Do does a great job of branding and enhancing the enjoyable aspects of their product, and their Twitter account is a big part of that. The Twitter manager has a good sense of humor and is always interacting with customers. In fact, I once tweeted about how much I liked Any.Do and ended up having a great conversation with them. They have an added benefit of being a mobile app, which makes it easy for people to go from using Any.Do to tweeting about how much they like it.

Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary Vaynerchuk is a big personality in the small business scene, and his Twitter is a perfect way for him to share his expertise and build his audience. He uses those 140 characters to tweet funny commentary, share articles, and give a little behind-the-scenes of his life. I like that he’s not all business, even though that’s what he does for a living–it makes him a lot more interesting to follow than many other similar personalities.

Roger Smith Hotel

This boutique hotel needed a way to stand out from the all the many other hotels in New York City. So they decided to invite key online influencers to come stay, knowing that a good experience would lead to good social media karma for the Roger Smith Hotel. It definitely paid off! This place is known for its Twitter savvy. People who reserve rooms via Twitter get a discount, and they have a Twitter kiosk in the hotel lobby. It’s even a popular place to hold tweetups–and all because they decided to tackle Twitter in a big way.

J. Money

Think your line of work is too boring for a successful Twitter account? Think again. If J. Money can have fun with personal finance, practically anything is possible! This account takes a humorous approach to the ho-hum business of money coaching. I mean, just look at the handle: @BudgetsAreSexy. J. Money is an active Twitter user that definitely has fun with what he does. And not only that–the account is actually a great resource on top of everything! That’s definitely one good way to become an authority in your field.

Of course, Twitter is a huge medium, and your success may be completely different than that of these five accounts. Think you have an amazing Twitter profile? Tweet @ewealthtraining and tell us why you’re great!
